Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha, better called Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is a famous British film and stage actress which gained more attention because she was a part of the 'Doctor Who' (a British science-fiction TV show) show that aired on the BBC channel. Gugu became famous for playing Tish Jones in the show on BBC. The character was daughter of the main character named Martha Jones. Gugu's audience loved her spontaneity, and she was getting ready for an extensive acting career. Gugu has also appeared in various British TV and stage productions. Her work has been critically acclaimed due to her outstanding performance in 'Belle' (2013), a British period drama as well as 'Beyond the Lights' (2014) which is a romantic comedy. In addition, she was a part of the Tom Hanks-produced comedy 'Larry Crowne and also in television shows like "Undercover," and "Touch. Gugu Mbatha Raw was in the show "Nell Gwynn" by Jessica Swale as an actress and also as the mistress of King Charles II. After receiving a great deal of praise from critics for her excellent acting abilities, she was nominated by Evening Standard Theatre Award. Gugu also received the Member of the Order of the British Empire award (MBE) from Queen Elizabeth II, for her exceptional performance in the production.
Chelsea Joy Handler was born on the 25th of February, 1975, located in Livingston, New Jersey. She was the youngest child from a family of six. Her parents were householders. Her father was a dealer of used cars. Her mother came to the United States in 1958, in the form of an immigrant from Germany. Handler was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989 and died after battling cancer for ten years. Handler is a Jew of the Reform movement as well as her father who was Jewish. Handler was raised in a lovely neighborhood and had a joyful childhood. When she was in her early 20s Handler moved into Los Angeles in order to take on acting. Handler had to turn into an actress in order to survive. But, at age 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time, as she was able to discover her storytelling talents. Handler started her career by being a part of the all-female Oxygen team, and starred in a TV show named Girls Behaving Badly. This series was known for its hidden camera as well as practical joke. The show was broadcast from 2002 until 2005. Handler began appearing in other shows such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler is also a correspondent for The Tonight Show. Handler had her biggest break in 2006, as she was named host on E! named The Chelsea Handler Show. The show ran for two seasons. Handler later performed in the US on Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour. Stand-up comedy performances from Handler have been broadcast by VH1, Comedy Central's Premium Blend as well as HBO. The show was announced as host of the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in the year 2010. She became only the second female host of the VMAs after Roseanne Bar.
