Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. After her first small performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985) and then went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan donnevan starred featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was a model when she was approached by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody strove to avoid the glamour of nude roles that was a rule she applied in her acting. After catching the eye of the director of casting in the upcoming James Bond movie, she participated in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody was named as one the 12 most promising actors of the year in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody had just turned 18 years old at the time she was cast in the role as a Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 version of The Secret Garden. She played Lilias. Doody's first leading role came in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a forensic archaeologist in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played the role alongside Sean Connery, who played the character's father. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud called the Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal She went on to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody's return to the big screen came in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in the role of a brief. The year 2004, she was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody played a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). She later guest starred in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of horror classic The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two years. She also was on the show as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cine award as well as an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
