Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting talent at that at the time. Just 10 weeks after her first tryout she came in second place in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. A year later Felix was awarded the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting an all-time junior world record taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the 200m. She won the title in 2007. won the title in front of her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished in the top three of all events.
